The Turtle Came Back

Perhaps you remember last year's story of the nesting box turtle. She showed up in early June, came back again a few days layer, and then on 15 June she dug a nest right next to our front walk. So when Paul called me to come see who was here
I was delighted to see the very same box turtle had returned!
She was on the retaining wall. She might be checking out soil conditions
on the adjacent portion of the lawn, across from last year's nesting site.
Fingers crossed.
UPDATE: Saturday, 13 June 2020
Haven't seen her again. Guess she chose a different nursery place. Oh well.
